Hi, I’m Nick
Vocal coach, music director,
arranger, composer, producer
and performer.
I'm currently in Adelaide and have worked for more than 15 years as a coach, producer and music director. I work with students, emerging artists and established professionals.
I’ve served on the APRA AMCOS Professional Development Awards panel, and my songs with Ben Nicholson are published in the AMEB Musical Theatre syllabus.
I graduated from WAAPA with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre in 2012. I’ve taught and mentored performers at the Victorian College of the Arts, VCASS, Elder Conservatorium and Patrick School of the Arts.

How I work
My work brings together singing technique, acting, music and writing. We might unpack a lyric, try a different musical choice, work through a technical challenge or find material that feels right for you.
Sessions are collaborative. I'll give you honest feedback and we'll try things. Music theatre is my main focus but I work across a range of styles. Bring the song, scene, idea or question you want to work on.
Writing & music
I co-founded Home Grown Musicals Australia with Ben Nicholson in 2014. We’ve presented work by more than 150 Australian writers, with concerts at Chapel Off Chapel and Hayes Theatre Co. Our readings include Yve Blake’s Mackenzie.
I’ve learned directly from experienced music theatre writers, and draw on that experience in my own writing and coaching. My recording work includes Moonrabbit Records’ debut release, tragic.
