Mix any coaching or one-to-one topics across your three sessions. You might build your rep book, work on song performance and vocal technique, then have an industry chat. Stay with one focus or change it as you go. Transposition, transcription and backing tracks are quoted separately.

Choose a single session or 3 × 60-minute sessions for $330. Your three sessions can cover one focus or any mix of coaching, music and aural skills, goal planning and industry chats.
Song performance & Vocal technique
Find your individual take on a song. We’ll explore the lyrics, story and character, and make musical choices that help you communicate what you want to say.
Bring an audition song, something new or a piece you want to take further. We’ll try different approaches to the performance, working on vocal technique where you need it.
Acting: Monologues & Scenes
Bring a monologue or scene you’re preparing for an audition, class or performance. We’ll work through the text, character and relationships to find clear, specific choices.
There’s room to try different approaches, respond in the moment and build a performance that feels like your own.
Build Your Rep Book
Find songs that feel written for you. I bring extensive knowledge of music theatre repertoire and a particular expertise in Australian music theatre, built through years of working directly with writers.
We’ll explore songs together and find material that suits your voice, personality and strengths as a performer. In later sessions, we can shape audition cuts and work on preparing those songs.
You’ll receive sheet music for the songs we choose together, with cuts and markings added as we develop them.
Personalised Arrangements
Have a song you’d love to make your own? We’ll explore key, style, harmony, tempo and structure to develop an arrangement around your voice and ideas.

Songwriting
Bring an idea, a few lines, a melody or a song you want to finish. If it’s your first time writing, we can start from scratch. We’ll work on lyrics, melody, story, chords and structure, wherever you’re up to.
Music theatre is a special focus of mine, but the songwriting skills and craft we work on are transferable across a wide range of styles.
Self-Accompaniment
Build confidence singing and playing piano at the same time. We’ll work on coordination, rhythm and accompaniment choices, with practical tips to help your playing support your voice.
Bring a song you’re learning or one you’d like to perform.
Additional arranging, scoring or recording work outside our coaching sessions is quoted separately.

Music & Aural Skills
Make more sense of the dots on the page and develop your ear. We can work on reading music, rhythm, understanding keys and key signatures, and recognising intervals both on the page and by ear. We’ll also cover musical terminology, common sheet-music markings and recognising patterns to help you pick up songs more confidently. Beginner to advanced.

A bit about me
I’m a songwriter, musical director, producer and educator based in Adelaide. I trained in music theatre at WAAPA and coach performers at Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre.
I also co-founded Home Grown Musicals Australia and work with Moonrabbit Records, supporting new Australian music theatre on stage and through recordings.
